Retreat

Thwan suggests the idea of retiring and successfully carrying out what you have in hand. There will be advantage in being firm and correct. The first SIX, divided, shows the tail of the retreating (subject). The position is perilous. No movement in any direction will be advantageous. The second SIX, divided, shows (the subject) holding (his purpose) fast with the thongs of an ox's hide. No one can (in this way) to his injury. The third NINE, undivided, shows one retiring (and still) bound up with the object of his pursuit, and so in peril. (The people addressed) are warned to take the utmost precaution. (In this, they will be) as (careful as) they would be in the case of binding (dangerous men) as with the thongs of an ox's hide. The fourth NINE, undivided, shows (the subject) retiring in the most admirable manner. There will be good fortune; and to this he is entirely an addition. The fifth NINE, undivided, shows (the subject) retiring in an admirable manner. His firm correctness will be advantageous. The topmost NINE, undivided, shows its subject retiring in a generous way. There will be advantage in every respect.
