I-Ching

Innocence

Wû Wang indicates great progress and success, while the advantage will be found in firm correctness. If (its subject) be not correct, he will fall into errors, and it will not be advantageous for him to move in any direction. The first NINE, undivided, shows its subject free from all conscious thought of what is wrong, and his onward movement will be fortunate. The second SIX, divided, shows one who makes no movement (of himself). There will be good fortune. The third SIX, divided, shows a man who meets with injury, coming from no fault of his own. The movement (of his horse) is like that of a person walking (slowly). Let him firmly maintain his correctness, and he will be free from error. The fourth NINE, undivided, shows a man who can be firmly correct, and will be free from error. The fifth NINE, undivided, shows one who does not use medicines in a case of (a) disease which he has contracted. There will be joy. The topmost NINE, undivided, shows one who is free from all conscious thought of what is wrong, and yet injury comes to him. There will be no advantage in any movement which he can make.
