The Taming Power of the Great

Tâ Khû indicates that (what is foretold) will be advantageous in the firm and correct course (of its subject). (He is) not fed by the heaven (to which he belongs). There will be advantage in crossing the great stream. The first NINE, undivided, shows its subject in a position of peril. It will be advantageous for him to stop his advance. The second NINE, undivided, shows (a carriage) with the strap removed from the axle-tree. It will be advantageous for the subject of the line to be firm and correct. The third NINE, undivided, shows a good horse well trained. It will be advantageous to him to be firmly correct, and to maintain his correctness day by day. He will find himself in the position of the driver of a light carriage. The fourth SIX, divided, shows the subject of the line (acting like) the young bull, for which the posts of the enclosure are made subjects of ornament. There will be great good fortune. The fifth SIX, divided, shows the horns of the bull protected by the board which is placed between them and his head. There will be good fortune. The topmost NINE, undivided, shows the subject of the line (like a fence) with which the way is hedged. There will be good fortune.
