Fû indicates that there will be progress and success. (The subject of the hexagram is seen) returning to his (proper) course. The movement should not be expected in a single day. The friends (who accompany him) will be found free from error.
The first NINE, undivided, shows the subject returning (to his proper course) from an error that was not far distant. There will be no occasion for repentance. There will be great good fortune.
The second SIX, divided, shows the subject with the happy return (to the right course). There will be good fortune.
The third SIX, divided, shows the subject with the frequent returns (to the wrong course). The position is perilous, but there will be no error.
The fourth SIX, divided, shows the subject with the return (to the right course) in the middle of the company. He is solitary, but may return to his proper course.
The fifth SIX, divided, shows the subject making a generous return (to the right course). There will be no occasion for repentance.
The topmost SIX, divided, shows the subject simply moving on to his own ruin. There will be evil. If he set in motion the host (of his forces), he will sustain a great defeat, even to the dismemberment of his state. For ten years he will not be able to repair the injury. © 2026 I-Ching Divination. All rights reserved.
